December 25, 2022, will forever be etched in our hearts as a day of joy, camaraderie, and pure, unadulterated Christmas spirit. This year’s Annual Christmas Day Meal at Extended Hands was an affair to remember, brimming with good food, welcoming faces, and an atmosphere that perfectly captured the essence of the holiday season. We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this day possible, from the tireless volunteers to the generous donors and our fantastic guests. You all helped create a safe haven of warmth and celebration for those who might otherwise have spent the day alone.
As in previous years we have had an outpouring of generosity and support from numerous individuals and organisations. Previously we were honoured to have esteemed guests such as the Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Mahboob Hussain, and Leonie McCarthy, the CEO of PCVS. The efforts of countless individuals, including DJ Dimension6000 who provided his services free of charge, the committed Extended Hands volunteers and their families, and the ever-supportive community partners.
“No one should ever be alone, not if all of us can do something about it!”. This shared sentiment continues to guide Extended Hands as we strive to make Peterborough a caring city in the UK.
